Man Utd QPR Odds : Ferguson with all eyes on Premiership title as Red Devils look god on handicap

Manchester United will be aiming to move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table this weekend when they host relegation threatened Queens Park Rangers, as punters pile into Utd on the -2 handicap betting with Stan James.

Fresh from the hard fought 2-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers last time out, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men are in excellent spirits and they will be determined to move a step closer to yet another Premier League title.

With title rivals Manchester City playing slightly later on Sunday, United can heap the pressure on Roberto Mancini’s men with victory over QPR at Old Trafford.

This is certainly something many expect them to do of course as they appear to be hitting their best form at just the right time in the season. The Red Devils have now won seven games in succession in the Premier League and with players back in form, they look all set to continue in the winning habit.

United’s form on home soil has been exemplary of late too, winning their last five Premier League games at Old Trafford, only conceding one goal in the process.

As for QPR, this is a tough test for them but they need all the points they can get right now. Mark Hughes’ men are currently out of the relegation zone, but only on goal difference. They still have a lot of work to do if they are to survive.

There is no doubt that the 2-1 win over Arsenal last time out was a massive boost though and coming soon after the victory over Liverpool, it seems fair to say that QPR prefer playing the big teams at the moment.

Their away form is awful though as they have gone nine games on the road without a victory. Their last away game – a 3-1 defeat at Sunderland – was arguably their worst display of the season too.

You certainly never know what to expect from QPR and this should make this weekend’s game at Old Trafford an entertaining one.

It all gets underway from 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
