Wenger also revealed that midfielder Mikel Arteta could be back available in around six weeks after undergoing ankle surgery this week.

The Spaniard was initially thought to be set for a spell of around three months on the sidelines, but Wenger is hopeful that theArsenal captain could return sooner than that.
