If a team scores eight goals in three games, chances are, they are on a good run of form. But those are not the figures for a team – they are the figures from just one player, Lionel Messi.
The Argentine is arguably in the form of his life right now, which is hard to believe considering how good he has been up to this point.
Barcelona fans no longer hope for goals from Messi, they expect them – and in very large quantities too.
Messi admitted his love for the Premier League last week, prompting concern amongst fans that he could be tempted away in the future. But any move would not appear to be on the cards at the moment, as he admitted he is happy and settled with the club world champions.

Barcelona take on Granada on Tuesday night, one of last season’s promoted clubs. It is a game they will be huge favourites for and one they know they must win if they are to stand any chance of catching Real Madrid in the La Liga title race.
Having conceded 38 goals from their 27 games this season, some fans will be afraid that their goals against column could take a heavy hit when the two sides meet.
However, they will have been boosted by a 2-1 win over Sporting Gijon at the weekend, a result which ended a run of three straight defeats in the league.
The last time these two sides met was in October at the Nou Camp. Predictably, it resulted in a win for Barcelona, but it was certainly not the rout many expected.
Granada were able to come away from the game with their heads held high, having only lost the game 1-0.
The Catalans will no doubt be hoping for a more comfortable win this time around, so it all sets up an intriguing match.
