These two sides have been a joy to watch in Europe this campaign and have shown just how good the Bundesliga is right now. They have each scored plenty of goals and pride themselves on playing attacking football, so we can expect an evening of entertainment in London this weekend.

Looking at Bayern Munich to begin with, their performance against Barcelona in the semi-finals of this compeition has to go down as one of the best the Champions League has ever seen.

Bayern went into the tie as the underdogs to progress, but they blew the Spaniards away and won 7-0 over two legs – a result that showed this Bayern side are one of, if not the best team in Europe right now.

Josef Heynckes’ side have been the nearly men in Europe’s elite club competition in recent years though as they have lost in both the 2010 and 2012 finals, so everyone at the Allianz Arena is desperate for success this time out.

With the form they are in right not and the fact that Bayern finished 25 points ahead of Dortmund in the Bundesliga when winning the title this season, it is no surprise to see them as the 5/6 favourites to win inside 90 minutes.

Heynckes does have a few selection headaches for this though, most notably up front as both Mario Gomez and Mario Mandzukic are fit. He is only likely to play one of them and Mandzukic is the 9/2 favourite to break the deadlock here.

As for Dortmund, they might not have had the Bundesliga campaign they would have liked, but in the Champions League, they have been exceptional.

The 4-1 semi-final first leg victory was an indicator as to just how good this Dortmund side can be and if they put in a similar performance here, there is no doubt they have the quality to come out on top.

Jurgen Klopp’s side didn’t lose to Bayern in the Bundesliga and they look to be great value to win inside normal time at 19/4.

Klopp has to get his tactics spot on for this clash at Wembley and although his starting eleven isn’t certain, there is one man who is sure to be playing – Robert Lewandowski.

Just what the future holds for the Poland international is unclear but he is going to be the main man for Dortmund is this one and is at 13/2 to score at anytime. Lewandowski scored four goals against Real last month and is proving to be one of the best out-and-out strikers around.

This Champions League final gets underway from 7.45pm and it has the potential to go down as a classic. Don’t miss a moment of the action and expect to see some top-quality attacking football.
