Chelsea striker on way out of Stamford Bridge

Didier Drogba looks to be ready to move away from ChelseaSources have revealed that Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is no where near to completing a new deal with the Stamford Bridge club and that he will be sold once a serious offer is received.

The striker, who will turn 34 next March was linked with a move away to Marseille over the summer and with Drogba only currently being offered a one-year contract extension, a move could well be on the cards come January. The striker had hoped that his form at the end of last season would have been rewarded with a new two year deal taking the striker to the end of 2013 however no better offer has been forthcoming.

At his current age it is unlikely that the forward will be able to move on to a club larger than Chelsea although he has been linked with a move to Chelsea’s North London rivals Arsenal on loan.

Although that seems unrealistic at this stage it seems likely that Chelsea manager Andre Villa Boas will want to keep the forward on until the summer where he shall then have just the one year remaining on his current deal, but with Fernando Torres beginning to show signs of his form at Liverpool and the emergence of Daniel Sturridge, Didier Drogba looks to be player heading towards the exit doors at Stamford Bridge.
