Liverpool FC considering move for French youngster

Liverpool may now be ready to make their move for young right-back NeryLiverpool FC are considering a move for young Saint Etienne defender Loris Néry who is primarily a right back but can play anywhere along the back line.

The 20 year old defender is currently an U21 France international and Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish sees the youngster as competition to Flanagan. Liverpool had at first only made enquiries for the youngster but may now consider a move for him permanently.

Whilst a transfer fee would not be an issue, owner John Henry is still looking to sell a group of fringe players before making any more bids on fresh faces as he does not wish to have the club facing such a huge wage bill. Whether certain players could depart on loan or be part of specific deals to bring in new players remains to be seen.

It had been reported that Liverpool could be in a position to offer David N’Gog as part exchange for Gary Cahill but Liverpool FC manager Kenny Dalglish wants to have replacements ready before offloading any players at the moment.
