With nearly all of their Premier League elite opponents being linked with big money moves this summer, Manchester United are preparing to make a big transfer of their own this summer when they will attempt to sign Mario Goetze.
The starlet is never far away from the transfer rumours and despite reports emerging that the 19 year-old has agreed to stick with Borussia Dortmund until 2013, United are looking to draft the playmaker in before next season.
Reports have come out that Eden Hazard is keen on a move to Tottenham Hotspur and after it became apparent that Xherdan Shaqiri had agreed on a summer move to Bayern Munich, it seems Manchester United are losing out on targets by the week.
The Red Devils continue to be associated with moves for some of the world’s biggest and brightest creative midfielders and although Tom Cleverley and Darren Fletcher will be steadily back in first team football, reinforcements are still expected to be brought in.
Goetze has been valued at £35m by German outfit Borussia Dortmund and although Jürgen Klopp won’t be keen to lose his talisman, he may have no choice should Manchester United meet the player’s asking price.
The youngster has made 22 appearances for Die Borussen this season, netting on six occasions as well as making eight assists.
Should Goetze be available this year, there will undoubtedly be a heap of interest in his signature, however Sir Alex Ferguson is attempting to steal a march on the competition.
