Manchester United considering Bundesliga playmaker

Diego would be a more reasonably priced option but could he pull the strings at Manchester United?Manchester United are considering a move for wantaway Wolfsburg playmaker Diego and see the 26 year old as a player who could pull the strings for the sides midfield.

The player has been problematic of late, being fined on numerous occasions by the Bundesliga side however with Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm, his bad behaviour could well be a thing of the past.

It is believed the Old Trafford side are seeking advice from former assistant manager Steve McClaren regarding the Brazilian and at one year younger than Wesley Sneijder, not only makes for a younger acquisition but also a much more reasonable option with a valuation of anything between £6m-£10m.

Diego had previously confirmed last month that he has spoken to numerous clubs in the Premiership but a decision on his future is yet to be made. many will see this as a risk by Ferguson however with the club not readily prepared to offer more than £26.5m for Dutchman Wesley Sneijder, Diego could well be Manchester United’s coup of the summer.
