Manchester United considering Bundesliga playmaker
July 27, 2011 · 8 Comments
Manchester United are considering a move for wantaway Wolfsburg playmaker Diego and see the 26 year old as a player who could pull the strings for the sides midfield.
The player has been problematic of late, being fined on numerous occasions by the Bundesliga side however with Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm, his bad behaviour could well be a thing of the past.
It is believed the Old Trafford side are seeking advice from former assistant manager Steve McClaren regarding the Brazilian and at one year younger than Wesley Sneijder, not only makes for a younger acquisition but also a much more reasonable option with a valuation of anything between £6m-£10m.
Diego had previously confirmed last month that he has spoken to numerous clubs in the Premiership but a decision on his future is yet to be made. many will see this as a risk by Ferguson however with the club not readily prepared to offer more than £26.5m for Dutchman Wesley Sneijder, Diego could well be Manchester United’s coup of the summer.

Much more likely to be Joey Barton. Remember you heard it here first.
lt wil be a good addition to manchester unite team. The wolfsburg playmaker diego can be great at man united, with E10m ferguson can get the brazilian.
I am moving to Mancheter United, so there will be no place for Diego.
What the…? First Barton… now Diego. Are these journalist insane or is it Sir Alex who is mad. We all saw the beating Barce gave us at Wembley and with Diego or Barton do u logically think we would av won, hell no, it would av been worst. Where is the shake up which was promised after Barce disgraced us? Alex has a better chance of popping a pineapple from his ass than beating Barce with this average midfield.
Diego is a more creative and energetic. He is a good passer and scores too. Rooney and chicharito have to be freequently fed with the ball upfront not Rooney falling back in the mid to collect balls. Liverpool.mancity and chealsea are real threat with quality. Man u lacks quality in midlefield.
I’m looking to a time when Man u will win games by controling them rather than shear luck. I see liverpool and Man city leading the EPL.Diego is good addition. MSL last night showed lack of quality in Man u mid. Rooney had to fall back a number of times to pick balls. Diego can control the game like kean use to do.
Kansango, thanks man I love a good little fairytale, “MSL match” hahaha run along now.
When i prefer wesley than diego though wesley is too expensive. And think about injury bcos where learn from owen but let give diego a chance to play @ threatre of dream
