Manchester United to speed things up for Austrian centre back

According to reports, the Red Devils are keen on acquiring the services of Aleksandar Dragovic in the last few hours of the transfer window

FUSSBALL - EL, Rapid vs Kiew, Vorberichte, TrainingKnowing that they would not be able to get their hands on Mats Hummels at least until the end of the season, Louis van Gaal has asked the club to speed things up in order to get him a defender he has been eyeing for quite some time.

The former Bayern Munich boss is a big fan of Austrian international Aleksandar Dragovic who is currently under contract at Ukrainian outfit, Dynamo Kiev. The youngster has been tipped with a move to Old Trafford for weeks now and it now appears that the Red Devils will make one final assault for the talented player before the January transfer window shuts down.

Van Gaal is not happy with the defenders he has at his disposal and is keen on having Dragovic join his team in a bid to add an extra dimension to the team which has been lacking in defense so far.

Reports claim that the Redi Devils would be willing to give 13 million euros for the youngster and though it still remains to be seen if he is suited for a move to the Premier League, his ability to make well timed tackles, understanding of the game and easiness on the ball is something that will come in real handy.
