QPR readying offer for Manchester United starlet

Just days after Newcastle United had a £500,000 offer for the Manchester United midfielder rejected, QPR are ready to throw their hat into the mix to sign Ravel Morrison.

The youngster was involved in heavy controversy last week after it was reported that the player had stalled on his contract negotiations as he was believed to be holding out for a salary that the club were unwilling to pay.

A similar story has emerged around Danny Welbeck who is understood to be seeking wages of £60,000, however his loyalty is somewhat more valued by United and they are bound to budge more for his commitment.

Despite this news that was backed up by Sir Alex Ferguson, Morrison has insisted through a series of tweets that he has never rebuffed a contract offer from the Red Devils and that he is adamant to remain at United.

The Magpies are said to be readying a new offer of £1m but QPR are preparing an offer of identical value.

Although Newcastle are in a substantially better league position, the 18 year-old may be tempted to Loftus given their ability to offer higher wages.

Since the takeover of Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes, Rangers have been linked with increasingly bigger profile stars and even bigger wage packets as they search for Premier League survival.

Morrison’s contract has two years left to run on it and although clubs are showing interest in his major signature, Ferguson may yet convince the teenager to sign a new extension and keep a starlet being tipped for future England success.
