QPR Stoke Odds : Must win for Hughes in relegation battle

Stoke travel to Loftus Road on Sunday to take on a Queens Park Rangers side that are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, although Paddy Power report punters are backing Mark Hughes side to take all three points at 8/11.

QPR remain out of the bottom three on goal difference, however with Manchester City away on the final day of the season, they will be looking at this fixture as a must win on home soil.

Mark Hughes’ side have won their last four encounters at Loftus Road so will be feeling confident of taking all three points this weekend.

They know that they must make home advantage count, especially as they are without a win in eleven games on the road.

Hughes’ men were hammered at Chelsea last time out, where they went down 6-1, a result that could of have a huge say on the fight for survival. However, QPR were somewhat let of the hook with Bolton also losing to Spurs during the week.

With an eight goal superior goal difference to Bolton, they know that survival is in their own hands and this is a bonus for them as the pressure increases each week.

As for Stoke, they have picked up two good points in their previous two encounters against Everton and Arsenal, results that will please determined manager Tony Pulis.

It’s been an extremely long season for the Potters of course, with the Europa League campaign getting underway in July. However, Pulis will be asking his players for one final push as they look to finish the season strongly. A top half finish is still within their sights.

Stoke have failed to pick up a victory away from home in eight attempts though. They have also only picked up maximum points four times on their travels in the Premier League this campaign.

With games against QPR and Bolton to finish the season, everyone at the Britannia Stadium will be hopeful of maximum points and another finish in the top ten.

With so much at stake for the home side, it should be a great game. Kick-off is at 2pm on Sunday.
