Aaron Ramsey is upset that his team are being labelled as underdogs going into their North London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, arguing that Arsenal still deserve to be favourites.
The Gunners have had a tough start to their Premier League season, while Spurs are coming into the game with a string of good performances in their last few games.
Arsenal are showing a good recovery effort however, winning their last two games on a domestic and European level, of which Ramsey is very pleased.
Speaking to Arsenal Player after the 2-1 win against Olympiakos, the Welshman noted: “This has given us momentum now so hopefully we can build on these wins and take it into the next game.”
Ramsey went on to say: “They’ve added a few new faces and we’re aware of that, but we’re confident in the way we play and hopefully we can get the right result there.”
The 20 year-old will line up against former teammate, Emmanuel Adebayor, when the clubs meet at White Hart Lane, and will need to be at his best to contain the Togolese striker, who is looking like his best once again at Tottenham.
The former Manchester City and Real Madrid forward bagged a brace against Liverpool two weeks ago, and boasts a ratio of a goal per game with Spurs just four weeks into his season-long loan.
