Accrington Stanley suffer midfield blow

Accrington Stanley have lost midfielder Ian Craney for up to three months, following the player breaking his leg in training.
Craney, who recently made his 200th appearance for the club, he suffered the injury in preparation for Friday night’s League Two encounter with Cheltenham Town.

The 29-year-old’s injury will be an almighty blow to John Coleman’s side, as the club confirmed that Craney will be out until the new year.
However, this may result in Stanley boss Coleman handing three loan players their full-debuts for the club when they meet Cheltenham.

Striker James Spray, on loan from Wolves, and midfielder pair Will Hatfield (on loan from Leeds United) and Luke Dobie (on loan from Middlesbrough) are all battling to win a starting place for the game against the Robins.

Stanley currently sit at 18th in the Npower League Two and will be eager to pick up the points so they can move up the table, following their 2-0 defeat to Swindon last week.
Last year’s clash against Cheltenham resulted in a 4-2 victory for the Robins at the Crown Ground.
