The agent of Serie B striker Ousmane Drame has admitted that he is currently in talks with Arsenal regarding the young forward but claims that numerous other sides are watching him closely too.
The 19 year old from Senegal currently plays for Padova having joined the Italian side in 2010 and has played a reported six times this season so far netting one goal. It is believed that Arsenal scouts travelled to watch Drame whilst Padova were in pre-season.
Drame’s agent, George Atangana, claims he has spoken to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger directly regarding the 19 year old’s future but suggests there will be no movement until at least the summer and that Arsenal are likely to face competition for Drame from Fiorentina amongst others.
“Arsenal are interested in him, I’m working on it directly with them, I have talked with Wegner. In Italy there are Palermo and especially Fiorentina interested in him.”
Drame’s agent added:
“Now the important thing is that Ousmane will end the season in Padova, then we’ll see. I can say that almost (all) the medium high clubs in Italy and abroad like him.”
Whilst it is far too early to suggest that Arsenal will make a firm offer for Drame it seems certain that the Emirates side will continue to monitor his progress over the coming months.
