Manchester City have upset Vincent Kompany, Nigel de Jong and Micah Richards with the contract that has been offered to new signing, Sergio Aguero.
Reports have suggested that the trio are unhappy with the £200,000-a-week bumper contract offered to Aguero, which is worth more than double, and triple, some of their contracts.
De Jong has been engaged in contract negotiations for some time now, claiming he’s becoming frustrated, while Kompany and Richards are apparently being offered £80,000-a-week and £65,000-a-week, respectively.
The defensive trio feel unappreciated after helping towards last season’s 3rd place finish. A club source told the Daily Mail: ‘While efforts to bring the club’s wage bill into line are commendable, it doesn’t wash with the key members of the squad being offered less than half of what some of the top earners like Yaya Toure, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero will earn.
Contract talks are ongoing for the three players.
