Alex Song has heaped praise on former teammate, Emmanuel Adebayor, and is cautious of the danger he poses, given the form that the striker is currently enjoying.
The Togolese international has scored three times in his three games for Tottenham and will be keener than ever to score at the Emirates when he comes up against his old teammates.
Since the forward has arrived at White Hart Lane, Spurs have enjoyed four straight wins after a disappointing start to the season.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, the 24 year-old said: “We know Adebayor is a very good player and I am very happy for him now. He is my friend and has started playing well for Tottenham.”
“But I just want us to go there, try to play and win. He may be my friend but on the pitch it is different – I just have to do my job,” he added.
Both teams are enjoying winning streaks at the moment, however Tottenham admittedly have a better run of victories under their belt, including a 4-0 win over Liverpool where Adebayor netted a brace.
Speaking on the underdog label Arsenal have been given, the Cameroonian international said: “We all have trust in the manager and we now need to go and show the people that they are wrong. The last two games we have done something good.”
