Andy Lonergan close to Leeds United switch
It’s understood that Leeds United are close to agreeing a deal for Preston goalkeeper, Andy Lonergan.
Leeds boss, Simon Grayson, has been chasing the stopper after the departure of Kasper Schmeichel earlier this summer and it looks as if he’s going to get his man.
Everton are another club who were hoping to pounce on Preston’s misfortune, after the club was relegated to League One in the past season.
The two sides are suspected to be in the latter end of finalising a deal, and Leeds are hopeful they will have a new No.1 in the next 24 hours.
