Angel di Maria heaps praise on Wayne Rooney

While talking to reporters, Di Maria was quick to praise the England international who indeed has been the standout player for the Red Devils since the beginning of the season.
Louis van Gaal made Rooney Manchester United’s new captain earlier this season and it appears that the decision has paid dividends with the striker really putting in hardworking shifts and playing a crucial role in the resurgency that the club has experienced in the past two months.
And Di Maria, who arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid this summer, says that Rooney has been simply impressive this season and praised him for the commitment he has shown whenever the team steps out on the field.
“Rooney is an impressive player,” Di Maria told Radio America. “He plays 90 minutes in every game. He is always committed, giving everything in every match.
While talking about his transfer, Di Maria stated that he has been lucky to have played for some of the biggest clubs in the world and says that things are going in the right direction for him before adding it gives him a lot of pride when fans sing his name.
