Woods is in excellent form and looking to continue his momentum with just a few weeks until the US Masters take place. The American is the favourite to win this compeition as he is at 3/1 with most bookmakers.
If he does win here, then Woods will equal the record set by Sam Snead for the most victories in a single tournament, so the incentive is certainly there for him. There will be some tough competition of course, but with the form Tiger Woods is in, it might be difficult to stop him claiming an early hat-trick for the season.
Some other big names in this tournament include the likes of Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose, Brant Snedeker and Graeme McDowell.
Mickelson is the only man out of these to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational in the past and that came back in 1997, so it is going to be a challenge for any of them to come out on top.
The left-handed American has a win to his name this season as well, so does come here in decent form and we know that you can never write him off in a big tournament. He is being offered at 18/1 to win here and with a Major title round the corner, you can expect Mickelson to play some superb golf in the coming weeks.
Justin Rose hasn’t had the best start to 2013, but he is always a big name in these tournaments and when on top of his game, is difficult for other players to beat. The Englishman is being offered at 20/1 for the win in Florida.
Brent Snedeker was the given the Player of the Month award in February, but then suffered a rib injury that has kept him out of action for March. He makes a return here and if he plays the kind of golf he did last month, then 22/1 could prove to be excellent value.
Graeme McDowell and Sergio Garcia are then both at 22/1, with Bubba Watson and Keegan Bradley at 33/1.
It should be a very interesting tournament at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge and with the knowhow Tiger Woods has here, he does look to be the one to beat. Only five players from outside America have been victorious in this compeition since it began back in 1966, so we might be looking at another year where the winner is from the USA.
The action all gets underway on Thursday.
