Sources in Sweden have claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea have been watching the young Swedish goalkeeper, Karl-Johan Johnsson, who turns 22 years old next month.
The Halmstads Bk keeper has very much been second choice keeper since 2009 and is believed to be a player some teams are considering as cover for their squads. Arsenal appear to have a decent selection of keepers at the moment but it does look as though Almunia could be on his way out either in Janaury or the summer as he begins to seek more first team football.
Chelsea on the other hand have Cech, Hilario and Ross Turnbull on their current squad list, and even have Belgian youngster Thibaut Courtois out on loan at Atletico Madrid.
Although the watching of players should not be deemed as serious interest, could Chelsea be preapring for the departure of Hilario at some point in the near future?
