Following Arsenal’s recent appeal, Uefa have decided to delay their disciplinary procedure against manager Arsene Wenger, allowing him to manage the side in their game against Udinese on Wednesday.
Arsenal officially appealed on Tuesday against the Gunners boss’ two-match Champions League touchline ban which has caused Uefa to postpone the punishment.
Wenger’s punishment occurred as he breached the laws of his previous suspension he was under during the first leg against the Italian side at the Emirates. He has been accused of contacting the Arsenal bench during the game after being instructed that he was to have no involvement in the game.
Arsenal go in to the second leg with a 1-0 advantage thanks to Theo Walcott’s goal, however Arsenal are suffering from injuries to key players such as: Jack Wilshere, Laurent Koscielny, Kieran Gibbs and Tomas Rosicky. Also midfielder Samir Nasri is set not to play as he’s move to Manchester City looks to be all but complete.
