Arsenal boss has high hopes for striker signing

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, is expecting big things from summer recruit, Park Chu-Yong, and thinks the forward will become a key component of his new-look side.

The 26 year-old was ready to sign for Lille, but reports suggest that Park reneged on any deal with the French outfit when he heard Arsenal were interested, and flew straight to London to complete a deadline day signature.

The South Korean international is yet to play for the North London outfit since signing, but Wenger remains faithful, stating: “Park is good in every area. He is good in the air, good technically, he is mobile and that’s why he is an adaptable striker who can play up front behind the striker.”

The Frenchman added: “That’s why we went for him. What I like with him is that he is very mobile and that’s the basis of our game.”
