Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has insisted that the Club will continue to invest funds in to the playing squad in the forthcoming transfer windows.
Mr Hill-Wood spoke at Thursday’s Annual General Meeting at the Emirates Stadium, and the Arsenal chief reiterated that he, along with all others associated with the club, will do everything they can to ensure the Gunners achieve success on the pitch.
“The provision of funds to invest in the team, which we did in the summer, we will do again,” he said. “Let me make it clear that we are all seeking on-the-field success.
“Our goals are to compete for various titles and be in the Champions League, which we have done for 14 years. It remains our focus.
“We remain committed to our self-sustaining model, convinced that this is the right way forward for the Club. It means our future is in our own hands.”
It has been made no secret that the Arsenal fans are still eager for Arsene Wenger to strengthen his squad and they fully expect some more new faces to move to the Emirates in January.
