Arsenal have announced that they have signed Mikel Arteta on a four-year deal from Everton.
Arsenal were showing an interest in the Spaniard earlier today, but decided to opt out of a move for the midfield talisman.
However, the Gunners decided to move back in for the maestro and have shelled out a sum believed to be around £10m, for what they believe is their answer to the departure of Cesc Fabregas.
The club has also signed Chelsea’ Yossi Benayoun on a season-long loan, as well as tied up deadline day signatures for Andre Santos and Per Mertesacker.
