Arsenal contemplate bid for Wolves’ star
It’s understood that Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, could make a surprise move for Wolves’ star winger, Matt Jarvis.
The midfielder has made an impression on several Premier League outfits during his time in the top flight, earning an England debut against Ghana in March.
The news is surprising given that the Gunners are currently in the race to sign Valencia winger, Juan Mata. However the news could signal that Tottenham, who are also keen on Mata, could be ready to win his signature.
Arsenal are thought to have sent representatives to watch Jarvis play against Ipswich over the weekend, however a groin injury kept Jarvis from playing.
Perhaps in a more pressing matter, Arsenal are also chasing centre-backs, Christopher Samba and Phil Jagielka, of Blackburn and Everton, respectively.
