Arsene Wenger has ended his interest in signing Everton midfielder, Mikel Arteta, as a replacement for the departed Cesc Fabregas.
It was reported that the Frenchman saw Fabregas’ international compatriot as a like-for-like replacement in a midfield void.
The 29 year-old has shown great creative flair at Goodison Park and a £10m transfer was apparently in the pipeline.
However, it’s now understood that personal terms have blocked the transfer and any potential move is now off.
