Arsenal facing Japanese dilemma

Honda is just one possible target for Arsenal next seasonArsenal are considering a move for one of two Japanese internationals in Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda and will use the coming season to assess which of them would be best suited to the side and worth bidding for.

It is believed that Honda, who currently plays for CSKA Moscow was available last January however the North London club were put off by the £25m price tag the Russian side had placed on the 25 year old.

Kagawa on the other hand plays in the German Bundesliga for the current Champions Borussia Dortmund and could be available for a value reasonably less than that of his international team mate despite being three years younger, possibly somewhere between £15m-£18m.

Although the figures will certainly fluctuate both positively and negatively throughout the season, Arsenal do see one of the players as a possible option for next year. It is unlikely that an approach will be made or accepted in January but the Emirates side will make enquiries early next year with regards to a permanent move should scouting reports prove to impress the Arsenal management.
