It’s been revealed that Arsenal have the first refusal on buying back former captain and new Barcelona signing, Cesc Fabregas.
The agreement comes as a part of the £40m deal that took the 24 year-old back to his native Barcelona.
The clause also states that if Arsenal choose not to buy back their former star, they will receive fifty percent of any future transfer away from the Catalan giants.
After a saga lasting over two years, the transfer went through on Monday with Barcelona paying £14.5m now, £14.5m in October and Arsenal making £6.5m in add-ons based on the success Fabregas sees at the Nou Camp.
The playmaker also waved a £4m compensation fee he would have been due from the North London club, due to the fact he never officially requested a transfer.
