Manchester City will be hoping to keep their title dream alive this weekend when they head to the Emirates to take on an Arsenal side that are hoping to hold onto 3rd position, as punters pile on the Gunners to sneak a narrow home win.
City boss Roberto Mancini has admitted this week that if Manchester United beat QPR – the Red Devils are underway earlier on Sunday – and his team lose to Arsenal, the title race is over.
This highlights how important this game is for City. After two successive draws, they need to get back to winning ways, restoring some self belief in the process.

There is no doubt that the early season swagger has departed the team at the moment and perhaps it will take a win at the Emirates to spark them into life again. The five point gap is certainly not one they can afford to get any bigger.
As for Arsenal, they are locked in a fascinating battle with North London rivals Tottenham for 3rd position this season. At the moment it is the Gunners that hold the final automatic Champions League place, but only on goal difference.
Arsenal did have the upper hand in the race, but defeat at QPR last time out – their first reverse in the league since a 2-1 loss at home to Manchester United in January – means that it looks set to go to the wire.

When these two teams met earlier in the campaign at the Etihad Stadium, it was Manchester City that secured a 1-0 victory. They also won by the same score line in the League Cup game at the Emirates shortly after.
Arsenal will therefore believe they owe City one and this should make for an entertaining contest. Both teams need to win and both teams are excellent going forward.
Likely to live up to its Super Sunday billing, this one gets underway at 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
