Arsenal manager hoping for continued consistency

Wenger is hoping Arsenal's consistency will continue into the New YearArsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hoping that his Emirates side will continue their away form success when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road this weekend.

A string of good performances by Arsenal has seen them rise back into Champions League contention for next season after a poor start saw them lose to Liverpool, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers. However a win at Stamford Bridge and a further three consecutive wins has seen them closing the gap in the Premiership and Wenger wishes this to continue throughout the next few months.

“For a long time we were questioned on our away potential and we responded to that well at Chelsea, we have to do that again to show that we can be consistent away from home. Then we have another vital game against Dortmund so it is important to keep this run going.”

“We know now that we can win away from home and we have another opportunity to show that. Until February [when the next international break arrives] the players can focus fully on the achievements of the Club,” he added. “We need to be professional and be able to focus quickly on what matters for us.”

The Arsenal manager added:

“That means the targets we have. It’s basically our professionalism that needs to come in and focus on what we want to achieve.”
