Arsene Wenger is ready to splash out some summer funds and is reported to be looking at more big names in Ligue 1.
The North London club has long been associated with Lille winger, Eden Hazard, but have seen all previous attempts to sign the 20 year-old swatted away.
Wenger has already signed Hazard’s former Lille teammate, Gervinho, this summer, however the Belgian international has always been the preferred target, drawing interest from the rest of Europe since his early teens.
Former Arsenal player, Robert Pires, told CanalPlus: “The time has come for Arsene Wenger to think about investing the money from player sales into players with experience and more of a guarantee.”
“I think other players have spoken with him and told him the same. The set-up has changed now.”
The French outfit are understood to value their star attacker at somewhere near £25m.
