Arsenal are said to be on red alert regarding the latest comments regarding Juventus midifelder Felipe Melo.
The 27 year old has been a rumoured target of Arsenal for the last two years however a switch to Juventus in 2009 was the Brazilian’s favoured move.
Two years on however his agent has claimed that there have been different opinions on his performance by the club leading to many to believe that his time in Turin could be up.
“The situation is that we have been talking to Juventus but there is no official position on his future, he has been playing really well in the last couple of games and during the last few weeks of the season we have been talking to the club and there are differing opinions on his level of performances.”
Fusco added.
“Right now he is doing well and we have no official communication saying that he is for sale, but if Juventus decide they want to sell him the Premier League would be one of his favourite options available to him. In the coming days we will know a little more.”
Two years ago a figure of around £22m was provided as a value to the midfielder but Arsenal are more likely to land him should they be willing to bid around the £15m-£18m area.
