Reports are suggesting that Barcelona have failed in their latest attempt to sign Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas.
The Gunners put a clear valuation on the midfielder at the start of the summer, a sum the Catalan giants are still some £5m short of meeting.
The latest offer, with add-ons, comes to around £32m, with Fabregas contributing almost £3m towards the deal, still short of the skipper’s £40m price tag.
Fabregas appeared in front of the Arsenal fans for the first time this summer yesterday, participating in Arsenal Members’ Day.
The 24 year-old longs for a move back his native Catalonia, and has been courted by the club for some two years now.
