Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner, has stated that he made his mind up to leave the club after he was left out of the squad to play in February’s Carling Cup final.
The 23 year-old completed a last-minute loan move to Sunderland on transfer deadline day and will return to the Emirates Stadium in July of next year.
The Danish international played a key role in the Gunners’ run to the Cup final, and decided it was time to move on after that.
The forward stated: “My time at Arsenal has been fantastic, but I want to be starting the big games – every player does.”
