Arsenal targeting three Spaniards from La Liga

Muniain is just one Spaniard being watched by Arsenal scouts this seasonArsenal are believed to be tracking three La Liga footballers with sources suggesting the Emirates side are possibly in the market for two of them with at least one a January transfer possibility.

Arsenal have been tracking Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente and Iker Muanian, and Real Madrid’s Esteban Granero with Granero the likeliest of the three to join after Christmas. Sources have also claimed that approaches will be made for the Athletic Bilbao duo but that a move is doubtful until the summer.

Llorente is perhaps the most expensive of the three and Arsene Wenger’s side will face competition for the 26 year old with the player having attracted the attentions of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. Granero appears to be a player that Arsenal have covered for some time and with the 24 year old now failing to make an impact on the Real Madrid squad, it is believed a fee of around £6m-£8m would be enough to tempt the Spanish giants into a sale.

Iker Muanian remains the most doubtful of the three to join Arsenal with the 18 year old forward high on Manchester United and Barcelona’s wishlist. The youngster, who is yet to make a full international appearance has impressed at Bilbao since joining on a professional contract in 2009 and is believed to be worth around £10m in the current market.
