Arsenal are clear 2/9 favourites to beat Fulham on Saturday afternoon and remain top of the Premier League with several title rivals breathing down their necks.

The Gunners have practically led the Premier League all season long but a slip up against Fulham could leave them as low as third by the end of the weekend.

At the moment, Arsenal have a one point lead at the top over Man City whilst Chelsea are also lurking a further point behind the city keeping the pressure firmly on Arsene Wenger’s side.

There is mixed news for The Gunners going into the game with Lukas Podolski set to make his return to the squad as could Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who have all been out since the New Yer with injuries.

However, Wenger finds himself losing a couple more experienced names to injury with both Nacho Monreal and Tomas Rosicky both major doubt after picking up injuries in the 2-1 win against Aston Villa on Monday night.

With both Giroud and Podolski fit, Arsenal’s most likely attacking partnership will be keen to add to their goal tally against The Cottagers having scored 3 in 3 games against the struggling West London side since the summer of 2012.

Fulham are ensuring a miserable season so far and The Cottagers have found themselves in the midst of a fierce relegation battle as they sit just one point above the dropzone in 16th place.

The good news for Rene Meulensteen is that club captain Brede Hangeland is fit again from injury and could feature in his first Premier League game since October 2013.

Despite those assurances at the back, the Dutchman still finds himself without Maarten Stekelenburg and Fernando Amorebieta who are both struggling with injuries.

After scoring against Norwich, Darren Bent will be eager to start against The Gunners and the England striker has a
good record against the league leaders scoring eight goals in ten appearances against them in all competitions.

Fulham will hope that they can strike lucky when they journey across the capital but Arsenal will be keen to make sure that they get the job done before the final whistle blows.
