The waiting is over as the Premiership finally kicks off this weekend, with punters in for a treat as Paddy Power, famed for their money back specials, launch a free bets offer  – they’ll refund losing bets if there is a red card during any game in England!

The first of Premier League fixtures sees Arsenal and Sunderland go head to head at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday in what should be a great match.

Looking at the home side to begin with, despite the Robin Van Persie saga going on for much of the summer and his move to Old Trafford,  Arsene Wenger has prepared for his departure and has brought in one or two world quality strikers as his replacement.

Weekend Premiership : Paddy Power Free Bet Offer

Arsene Wenger got his business in the transfer window done early and added three quality attack minded players with Lukas Podolski, Oliver Giroud and Santi Cazorla all signing at the club.

The Gunners will be looking to make a genuine title challenge this season but know what a tough ask it will be.

They cannot afford to get off to the poor start that they did last campaign. The North London club will know that a victory here could really lay down a marker to the rest of the teams with title ambitions.

With two of their first three away trips coming at Liverpool and Manchester City – Arsenal will know that home form could be vital.

As for Sunderland, they certainly have a tough test to start the season. However, it could be the best time to play one of the bigger teams when they are not in full flow.

Martin O’Neil is at the helm of the side for his first full campaign and he will have ambitions to challenge for a top half finish and possibly a Europa League spot.

O’Neil did a great job in guiding the Black Cats away from relegation when he took charge last year and he will want to be well clear of the bottom three this time out.

With the talent of Sebastian Larsson in the squad, Sunderland will always be a threat from set-pieces and that is where they could cause Arsenal a few problems this weekend.

This match all gets underway at 3pm on Saturday.
