Arsenal will be denied goalkeeping star
Juventus has claimed that their current goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will not be sold in the summer, putting an end to rumours of the Italian stopper departing for Arsenal.
News came as Juventus’ Director General Giuseppe Marotta spoke about the star player after the win against Roma.
“We will be counting on Buffon for the present and the future, we talk regularly with the player and his agent Silvano Martina. It is not our intention to sell him.”
Whilst Buffon would be a huge acquisition for any club, Arsenal remain tight lipped over whether they will invest in a new number one this summer although it is still reported that Maarten Stekelenburg would like a move to the Emirates Stadium.
