Arsenal youngster talks of injury frustration

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere will not be rushing his returnArsenal youngster Jack Wilshere has spoken of his frustration at being injured so early in the season and admits he shall take his time making his way back to full recovery.

Wilshere impressed heavily during last season with many suggesting he is the future Arsenal captain however his ankle injury – sustained against New York Red Bulls during the pre season tournament, the Emirates Cup has left him out of action for up to six weeks.

Asked whether the club were looking to get him back into the fold as early as possible the Arsenal youngster replied:

“They’re not pushing me at all, I spoke to the manager and he told me to take my time and come back when I’m ready because there’s no point me coming back and having another six weeks away, so I’m just taking my time and getting ready.”

“It’s massively frustrating. Last year I had a successful season, so it’s even more frustrating because this year I thought I could push on.”

“I’ve had a bit of a setback but I’m still feeling good about the season, and hopefully I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
