Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna will be out at least three months

Sagna's injury has just added to Arsenal's woesArsenal defender Bacary Sagna will be out for at least three months the club have revealed after the 28 year old fractured his fibular in the recent derby versus Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

The news piles more misery onto the Emirates side following the 2-1 defeat and means Sagna is unlikely to return until the end of January. The player is considered to be one of the better Arsenal defenders within the side and with Arsenal’s defence having been so poor this season so far, they will be required to now work twice as hard to bring it up to scratch.

A statement regarding Sagna’s injury on the official clubsite read:

“It is expected that Bacary will be out for approximately three months and a surgical procedure cannot be ruled out at this stage. Everyone at the Club wishes Bacary a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him playing again as soon as possible.”
