Mikel Arteta is calling on Arsenal to sustain their strong form at the Emirates Stadium believing it to be key to breaking their duck away from home.
The Gunners have an excellent record on their own turf winning all but one of their games in all competitions but have yet to pick up maximum points on the road.
A Robin Van Persie double saw the North London side pick up another impressive home victory over Sunderland at the weekend and Arteta believes those wins breed confidence which will be an important factor when it comes to picking up points away from home.
The Spaniard told Arsenal Player: “If you are very consistent you get the results. We know that away from home we have the ability to nick points all the way through the league so it’s up to us.
“We just have to keep doing what we are doing at home, winning every game and I am sure that is going to see us climb up the table quickly.
“It’s a massive win and three points. I think it got a bit complicated after the first 20 minutes when we could have been two or three-nil up.”
Two tough away fixtures await Arsene Wenger’s side with a Champions League tie against Marseille and a trip to neighbours Chelsea coming up within the next 10 days.
