Aston Villa may see Roy Keane as ideal Houllier replacement

Roy Keane has been linked with a move to AustraliaAs with all football rumours there are never to be believed although reports that Aston Villa could line up Roy Keane to take over from Gerard Houllier this summer does have some clout about it.

News reports on the internet do suggest that Keane is on his way to Australia to manage Melbourne FC, but a position closer to home may seem more ideal.

Regardless of Houllier’s perhaps failed management of the midlands club, there is indeed some indiscipline that only a man like Roy Keane would be able to handle, his record as a manager is obviously not the best where results are concerned but he would be able to instill discipline on and off the field, maybe something that has halted Villa’s top six charge this season.

Whilst Aston Villa currently remain in 16th, just two points off relegation, the acquisition of Roy Keane may only be found suitable if the club are relegated to the Championship.
