Aston Villa midfielder hoping to gain first team spot under new management
Fabian Delph is hoping to stamp his claim on the Premier League and earn himself a spot in Villa’s starting XI under Alex McCleish.
The midfielder played the whole 90 minutes against Fulham on the weekend, and is hoping to maintain this amount of playing time.
Injuries have seen the 20 year-old playing a substitute role since his move in 2009, but is confident, noting: “I am chuffed with starting the first game and hopefully I can do well for this gaffer.”
The youngster added: “It was my first 90 minutes in a long time and hopefully, with the new manager, the people around him and the players around me, I can improve.”
