West Ham manager Avram Grant believes the East London side require seven points from a remaining possible nine to steer clear of relegation this season.
The Hammers lost to Manchester City at the weekend in a tough fought game eventually losing 2-1. The next three games are against those in the bottom half of the Premiership versus Blackburn, Wigan and the final match at home versus Sunderland.
Although Sunderland seem very much safe with 41 points, Blackburn and Wigan could be deemed as six pointers with Grant suggesting they would ideally like to win all three.
“Our target is to take seven points. We will try to take all nine, I thought that other teams around us would take more points in the last two games, so the gap stays three points.”
