Ayr Gold Cup Horse Racing : Live Streaming Schedule announced as Maarek & Our Jonathan head market

The Ayr Gold Cup Festival takes centre stage this weekend as Ladbrokes announce they have a live stream service on all the horse racing action on Saturday afternoon, with with Our Jonathan and Maarek heading the market.

The rain has hampered preparations for this race, but acting clerk of the course Harriet Graham is hopeful of improvement.

Being one of the headline events in Scottish horse racing, this six furlong race is sure to draw in the crowds and create quite an atmosphere.

This William Hill Ayr Gold Cup looks to be wide open with as many as 29 horses all available between 14/1-20/1, which goes to show just how competitive it could be.

The previous race favourite was 10/1 shot Gordon Lord Brown, but it was announced that he will not be entering the field.

Current market leader is Our Jonathan, who won this race 12 months ago and the Kevin Ryan trained horse can be backed at 10/1. All eyes will also be on top-weight Maarek, with David Nagle’s horse in good form following a win in the Group Three race at the Curragh last week, and he is available at 12/1.

Hawkeyethenoo, who is looking to become the first Scottish trained winner of this race for 37-years is also well backed at 16/1.

Hawkeyethenoo is in the running and trainer Jim Goldie is confident of success in Ayr on Saturday. To add to the occasion, the horses jockey, Graham Lee is looking to become the first man to win both the Scottish Grand National and the Gold Cup.

The script does look as though it could be written, but as we know in horse racing, anything can happen.

Scotland does have another chance of a home winner though with Cheviot being a 20/1 shot. After a win at Haydock recently Cheviot looks to be in good form and could have a big say in this race.

The likes of Face The Problem and Waffle are all likely to be amongst the chasing pack this weekend. However, as mentioned this race is an incredibly tough one to call and the winner could come from any number of horses.

Whatever happens, it has the makings of being a classic race in Scotland on Saturday afternoon.
