Barcelona are ready to turn up the heat in the race to sign Chelsea and Manchester United target by matching the bids of both Premiership clubs for Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez.
The Spanish giants are rumoured to be the favoured destination for the Chilean winger however so far the Serie A club have accepted bids from both Manchester United and Chelsea with Barcelona now having to match their rivals as the bidding war gathers pace.
There is also some discontent at Barcelona at the moment who are also chasing Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas and they will need to raise some cash if they want to acquire Sanchez’s services too. The club are reported to have stated that they have around €50m to spend this summer excluding any sales so they will need to sell some players to snatch both targets.
David Villa is one player highly expected to depart this season after some poor form with many suggesting he could be sold on to accommodate both Sanchez and Fabregas deals.
