Bayern Munich are in action in the late kick-off as they entertain Hamburg and the league-leaders will be watching Borussia Dortmund’s match at Stuttgart earlier on with great interest.
If Dortmund fail to win, Bayern can claim the title with all three points this weekend and with this game being on home soil, Josef Heynckes knows it is the perfect opportunity for them to seal the crown.
Heynckes’ men have been superb in the German top flight this campaign and come into this one on the back on nine straight wins. They are at 1/3 to make it ten consecutive victories.
It won’t be easy to beat Hamburg though as they sit in eighth position, but are just one point away from the Champions League places, so could climb up the table if results go their way on Saturday afternoon.
Although they have plenty of top players, Hamburg know a win here would be one of the shocks of the season as Bayern do look to be too strong for the rest of the league. An away win is out at 21/2.
If the hosts grab an early goal, it could be party time at the Allianz Arena.
As mentioned, it all depends on what Dortmund do earlier in the day and although Jurgen Klopp knows the title is going to be heading to the Allianz this campaign, he will want his side to fight until the end and take the spoils here. They are at 22/23 to come out on top.
The current champions are only four points clear of Bayer Leverkusen in third as well, so need a win to increase their chances of finishing in second.
Stuttgart have won just once in their previous four matches and don’t have an awful lot to play for this campaign, but should be up for this one as they are taking on one of the league’s biggest teams.
Bayer Leverkusen head to Fortuna Dusseldorf as well and after two straight Bundesliga defeats, the visitors need a result this weekend.
If at their best, then Leverkusen should take the spoils as Dusseldorf are without a win in their last four encounters. A win for Leverkusen can be backed at 10/1.
Schalke can move back into the Champions League places when they entertain Hoffenheim.
The hosts had their three-game winning streak brought to a halt by Stuttgart last time out, so will want to return to form against Hoffenheim, who look like facing the drop this campaign.
The other three games taking place on Saturday afternoon see Mainz host Werder Bremen, Augsburg lock horns with Hannover and Borussia Monchengladbach make the journey to Freiburg.
As ever, we are all set for a superb day of action, but all eyes will be heading to the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening, especially if Dortmund fail to win.
