Bayern Munich to make Everton centre back main priority

Moyes will want to do all he can to keep hold of Everton's highest paid player John HeitingaSources from Southern Germany are claiming that Bayern Munich will make Everton’s John Heitinga their main priority signing at the seasons close this summer as they look to rebuild for a fresh attack on the Bundesliga title next year.

Borussia Dortmund were named as Champions last weekend and Munich are still to claim a Champions League spot lying in third place just two points ahead of nearest rivals Hannover 96. Whilst third place will mean Bayern having to play a qualification match, fourth spot in Germany’s top league is purely an automatic Europa League position.

Whilst it now looks unlikely that Everton will gain entry into Europe, Heitinga may decide on looking elswhere and knowing that Bayern produce at least one trophy every two years may be the deciding factor as the Dutchman seeks silverware and European competition.

The 27 year old has been at Everton since 2009 and David Moyes will certainly not wish to lose the centre-back as he looks to add more depth to a small Goodison Park squad.
