Benfica Zenit St Petersburg Odds : Way goals the key in Champions League as

Two away goals will have given Benfica hope that they will be able to turn around their first leg defeat to Zenit St Petersburg when the two go head to head on Tuesday.

The Russian side ran out 3-2 winners in the first game, but will face a tough task in defending that lead in Portugal.

Benfica, however, will have taken a hit to their confidence at the weekend, after losing to their domestic rivals Porto.

This will be Benfica’s 50th Champions’ League game, so there would be no better occasion for them to get the win and progress to the next stage of the competition.

They will, of course, know how tough a test this will be though. Zenit have shown in recent years that they are a match for anyone in European competition, and they will be keen to go as far as they can this time around.

Benfica have a couple of injury doubts going into the game. Garay and Pablo Aimar both picked up knocks in the 3-2 defeat to Porto, although Javi Garcia started on his return from a muscle injury in that game.

Zenit will be boosted by the return of their first choice goalkeeper Vyacheslav Malafeev, who made his first appearance of 2012 in their 2-2 friendly draw with CSKA Moscow at the weekend.

Star midfielder Danny will miss the game against his fellow countrymen due to a season ending knee ligament injury he suffered last month Aleksandr Bukharov still remains on the sidelines.

One player to have recently arrived at Zenit, is Russia international Andrei Arshavin, who has joined on loan from Arsenal.

Whilst this will no doubt be a boost to their domestic hopes, Arshavin remains ineligible to play in the game, having represented the Gunners in the earlier rounds of the competition.

Overall, this is an extremely evenly poised contest between two attacking teams. It should be an excellent second-leg.
