Betfair Chase Live Streaming Schedule : Long Run, Silviniaco Conti, Weird Al and Giant Bolster fight it out at Haydock

The featured card from Saturday’s racing comes from Haydock with the Betfair Chase, as Ladbrokes release the latest odds on Long Run, Weird Al, The Giant Bolster & Silviniaco Conti as the firm also has a live stream available on the race for fans to view online.

Long Run leads the list of contenders for the Betfair Chase at Haydock this weekend with the Nicky Henderson trained horse looking for a big win to follow up Cheltenham Gold Cup success from 2011.

Only Kauto Star prevented Henderson’s favourite winning this race last year and in 2012, the seven-year-old is definitely the one to beat and can be backed at 2.38, as punters will be hopeful of a return to the form which captured the Gold Cup two years ago.

Imperial Commander had hoped to challenge, but the 2012 Gold Cup winner has been ruled out with injury.

This means that the biggest challenger to Long Run – who was third to Synchronised at Cheltenham in March, despite being the pre-race favourite – is Silviniaco Conti, available at 3.25 for the win.

Trainer Paul Nicholls has a fantastic record in this race having won four of the seven races since it was established in 2005. Silviniaco Conti is his main hope this year, with Nicholls hoping to win this race without the retired Kauto Star for the first time.

There have been ground concerns for Saturday’s race and there is plenty of rain forecast, but the Champion trainer is confident that Silviniaco Conti will be able to run and run well.

Ahead of Saturday, he said: “I will keep monitoring the situation but I don’t think it will be a problem for Silviniaco Conti. I am not thinking of running him in the King George so don’t have to worry about effecting his chances in that race.”

Plenty of money has come in for the horse, but his victory in the Charlie Hall Chase against a weak field did little to enhance his reputation, and he must step up to the mark today.

The second favourite could therefore go all out to defeat Long Run, while Weird Al and The Giant Bolster – both available at 7.00 – will hope to be in contention over the three miles of the Haydock racecourse.

David Bridgwater’s The Giant Bolster could also attract plenty of appeal at 6/1. Although something of a novice trainer himself, Bridgwater has indicated he is pushing his horses harder and has a recent success rate of one winner in every four.

You then have the rest of the field made up by outside bets, including Cannington Brook (25/1) and Wayward Prince (34/1).

Overall though, it is expected to be a close and fascinating battle between Long Run and Silviniaco Conti as Champion trainers Henderson and Nicholls go head to head for Betfair Chase glory.
